Every last Wednesday evening, Redbones Cafe  on Braemar Avenue hosts a poetry event, it is usually free and all the contestants have an opportunity to win the annual Writer’s Awards.

I had the chance to read there in October 2005 and was even nominated as a finalist for the Writer’s award. Its was a new experience and I enjoyed it tremendously  even though I didn’t walk away with the award.
